Mother's Day Gift Guide

With Mother’s day right around the corner, I thought I would take the liberty of compiling a little list of ideas on ways to spoil your Mama Bear, and show her your thanks.

Flowers
Nothing makes a woman happier than fresh flowers. Spoil her with a bouquet of her faves.

Brunch
Take Mum out for a lazy brunch or better yet, why not treat her to a homemade champagne breakfast! Prepare an array of foods such as a fruit platter, muesli, pancake stacks and french toast, all topped off with an amazing French Champagne to sip on. I love Verve Clicquot as it is a light, crisp flavour, perfect for early in the day. Alternatively, ask for recommendations on more affordable drops from the local bottle shop people. Blanc de Blanc makes a fantastic breakfast sparkling, or if you prefer something sweeter, try a Moscato.

Pamper Her
Why not treat Mum to a mani or pedi or even both. Your mum will walk away feeling pampered and spoiled. For a more luxurious option, spoil her with a spa package!

High Tea
Consider taking your Mum for High Tea. It will give you both the chance to dress up and enjoy an afternoon of champagne, cupcakes and finger sandwiches. You definitely want to book this is advance, as I can imagine Mother's Day would be quite busy. Check out what high teas are on in your area and confirm your place.

Perfume
While there are many perfume collectors out there, I am quite old fashioned in this sense and feel like perfume should always be a gift. Buy a bottle of your mum's favourite for her and you are guaranteed a winner.

For Those Who Live Far, Far Away (like me)
As I live in another state to my mum, I will be having a Facetime date with her. While this is not the same as spending quality time with her this Mother's Day, at least I can have some face to face contact. Added bonus, I had my gift sent back home with my sister who was here a few weeks ago, so Mum can also open her gift whilst we are Facetiming and it will be as if I was right there with her! Nawwwwww.

I always say, Mother's Day doesn't need to be another occasion to give a huge gift. I believe it's about spending time with your mum and showing her your gratitude and love.

What are you doing for your mum this Sunday?
