Winter is here!! While most are mourning the departure of long summer days, I am celebrating layers and cosying up in this season’s hottest trends for the cooler months. Read on to find out what I will be rocking this Winter

The Cut Out Boot

It is official, the cut out boot is this season’s hottest boot and the only one to be seen wearing. I am obsessing over the Senso’s creations this year. In particular the Ita Boot, which sold out in my size on pre order (boo!). The chain stores all have a version of this boot so it is worth shopping around if you are on a budget.

Monochrome

All over the high street in the UK and the States, winter is looking like a silent film, awash with black and white. The neutral lover inside me is weeping with excitement at the chance to strip back to basics. A simple black and white ensemble sends such a strong message, not to mention carries longevity in the 
wardrobe. Two thumbs up from me!

Leather

Leather is still key this winter, but I will be indulging leather EVERYTHING this year (Not all at once of course, unless you want to be recruited by the local bikie gang). If you can only invest in one piece, make it a leather jacket. A great leather jacket is timeless and will long outlive any leather tee/tank/ pant. Check out fab new label Holystone for to die for buttery leather pieces.

Fur

Fur was all over the Autumn 13 runways, faux or otherwise. The great thing is, this trend was interpreted in so many ways; Sophistication at The Row, Street Chic at Lanvin and Ladylike at Marc Jacobs. This is great news as it makes this trend accessible no matter what your personal style may be. I love bundling up in a furry creation and playing with textures in the cooler months.

Sports Luxe

The sports trend has well and truly taken hold this year. While there is always a nod to sports luxe on any runway, this year it has taken on a whole new meaning. Think college and bomber jackets, numbered tees and my favourite: the jogging pant and short! I am on the hunt for a leather jogging short. I love the Sass and Bide and White Suede versions, but Witchery also have a great caramel pair.
