I have been OBSESSING over the Lush BIG Shampoo recently. See my full review after the jump...
I am normally quite the shampoo and conditioner snob. Nothing but salon brands for me baby! There are a few reasons that have led to my hair care snobbery. Hair extensions, oily roots and a particularly alarming instance of Toxic Alopecia have all made me be extra cautious of anything I put in my locks. Losing half of your hair will do that to you!
After being such a Lush fanatic for so long, and reading many a glowing review on the Lush BIG Shampoo, I was curious yet approached with caution. To me Lush is a shower and bathtime brand, what could they possibly know about haircare? Is it a gimmick? I bravely took the leap and made the purchase, resigning myself to the fact that if it wasn't what everyone promised, I have two sisters who would be over the moon to take it off my hands.
The conclusion...the hair snob has found a new love! O.M.G!
So according to Lush, this product promises "more shine than you thought possible". I can't say I was blown away by the shine in particular of this shampoo, however it definitely volumised my limp hair thanks the the sea salt particles in the formula, AND my hair was very silky and knot free! I do not normally struggle with knots with my natural hair, however my extensions drive me absolutely crazy with their knots! This little miracle really helped out in that department, so thankyou BIG.
The consistency of this product is unlike any I have experienced. It's like a thick gel with whole salt particles, which I quite enjoyed grinding up with my head massage! It has a strong cologne type frangrance which may turn some off, but I personally really like it.
All up I would definitely recommend this product as a once or twice a week shampoo alternating with your regular shampoo for BIG summer hair. I personally can't wait to try this out with the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque!
